Duties:

Teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in the areas of communication theory, digital communication, digital signal processing, optical and laser communications, image processing and computer programming. In Addition, I have been also involved in supervising number of undergraduate projects in the areas of satellite communication, remote Control, speech analysis, Digital Filters Design, convolutional Coding, voice and image scrambling, queuing networks and computer performance.

1984 – 1988:

Teaching and Research Assistant

Department of Electrical Engineering, Michigan State University.

Duties:

Conducting research in the area of digital communication and system modeling; and teaching undergraduate courses in linear systems and electronics circuits and conducting laboratories in these courses.

March 1981:

I joined King Abdulaziz University as a lecturer.

July 1975–March 1981:

Director of Microwave and Multiplex Stations

Ministry of Post, Telephone and Telegraph (PTT), Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. I was in charge of operating and maintaining these stations. Moreover, I supervised more than 100 engineers and technicians working in these stations.
